Badges play a crucial role in fostering trust within the Airtasker community.
Badges provide valuable information to you as a Customer when choosing the right Tasker for your tasks. When certain criteria are met, a badge is displayed on a member's profile.
It's important to keep in mind that badges are awarded based on a point-in-time check. This means that the results reflect the relevant records available on the date of verification.
When engaging a Tasker with a badge, we encourage you to verify their current credentials before proceeding with the task. It's always a proactive step to ensure accuracy and peace of mind.

Criminal Background Check |
A Criminal Background Check Badge is only added to a member’s profile if they do not have a Disclosable Court Outcome as notified to Airtasker by a verification provider. They must apply for this free Background Check Badge and it is verified by a 3rd party verification provider, Checkr. The following details are verified:

Payment method |
A member has added a payment method to their account. Please note that this represents that a payment method has been added. It does not indicate that payment credentials are verified.

Mobile number |
A member has verified that they own the mobile number on their account. This is done by sending an SMS verification code to confirm the number is real and held by that member.
