What is the Gas Safe Register Badge?

The UK Gas Safe Register is the only official gas registration body for gas businesses and engineers in the UK. By law, all gas businesses must be on the Gas Safe Register. 

The Gas Safe Register Badge allows you to see if a Tasker is registered with the UK Gas Safe Register and has a valid licence, giving you confidence that they have the skills and qualifications required to work safely on tasks involving gas.

The Gas Safe Register Badge verifies that a Tasker:

• Is registered with the UK Gas Safe Register
• Has a valid licence
• That their Airtasker profile name matches their licence 

The check is carried out by our 3rd party verification provider, Sterling RISQ.

As a Customer, we recommend you look for this badge when deciding which Tasker to pick for your gas-related tasks. 

Please note: The badge is granted based on a point-in-time check which means results only reflect relevant records on the date that the check was completed. If you engage a Gas Safe Register badge holder for tasks involving gas work you should verify their current credentials prior to the task being carried out. Once you’ve accepted an offer you can request the following details from the Badge holder:
