What is a digital ID badge?

The Digital ID Badge is a confirmation that a member’s identity has been verified via Airtasker’s third-party verification provider, Australia Post. The badge is a secure way for members of the platform to prove they are who they say they are online. It checks that a member’s details on Airtasker match their legal documents, and although those details aren’t made public, they are verified internally. 

Once a member's application is successful and the Digital ID Badge is applied to their profile no changes can be made to their name and date of birth.

All of Airtasker’s verification providers safely guard your personal data with advanced security technology. The Digital ID badge application is free to all members and can be obtained by Taskers and Customers alike. To apply, you will need a current passport or driver's licence. It is important that the details on these identification documents match the information you have provided on Airtasker, otherwise, you will not be able to receive the Digital ID badge.
