As Taskers on the platform are independent contractors, you can get a tax invoice from them directly. As the provider of the service, they should be able to get you one upon request.
If you weren't able to obtain the Tasker's contact information and the task has already closed, you can still communicate with them through Airtasker Private Messaging. This allows you to reach out to them and discuss any further details or requests.
You can also include a tax invoice as a requirement on your original task description in any future task that you post. Alternatively, if a simple receipt of the task payment is enough, you can view and screenshot the receipt from the task page.
To view the receipt, you can follow the steps below:
- Log into Airtasker.
- Click the My Tasks. Locate the relevant task. You can filter the list to only show tasks completed.
- Click on the relevant task.
- Click See receipt
