Airtasker understands that accidents can happen even when the most experienced Taskers are assigned to a task. As a customer using Airtasker to hire a Tasker (an independent contractor), please note that the Tasker is responsible for their work and is liable for any consequences that may arise during the task.
Registered Taskers are covered by Airtasker’s general liability insurance for their liability to third parties in the event of personal injury or property damage resulting from activities not otherwise excluded. For instance, if a Tasker accidentally damages your property while assembling furniture, this insurance can help cover the repair costs (terms and conditions apply).
Note: Just so you know, this does not cover faulty workmanship. Before accepting a Tasker’s offer, customers should ask about the Tasker’s work quality standards and whether they have any additional insurance that covers workmanship-related issues.
