How do I decrease the price?

A price decrease is only possible if the task funds are still held in escrow and payment has not been released yet. 

You can change the task price, by following the steps below:

1. Discuss the price decrease with other party and come to an agreement.
2. Both parties must agree to the price decrease via Airtasker private messages and explicitly state the new amount. (We will be unable to assist with adjusting the task price until both parties have confirmed they're happy with the decrease and have explicitly stated the new amount in writing)
3. Contact our support team once both parties have a written agreement with details of the price decrease and the new amount.

The price will then be adjusted on the system accordingly and the extra funds will be returned to the Poster. 

If the payment has already been released, Airtasker no longer has access to it. In this case, Posters and Taskers will need to organize adjustments personally. The agreed amount should be inclusive of Airtasker fees to avoid confusion and must be rounded to the nearest full number.
