Why do I need to add a payment method to assign a task?

At the stage of accepting an offer, you’ll need to add funds for payment. If your details aren’t already saved within Airtasker, you will need either a credit or debit VISA or Mastercard AMEX (currently in the United States and Australia region only). 

Note:

For the security of the Airtasker community, Airtasker does not support cash payments. Payments need to go through Airtasker Pay which only accepts credit/debit cards Visa or MasterCard or AMEX (currently in the United States and Australia region only). 

When an offer is accepted, the funds for the task are securely held via Airtasker Pay until the task is completed.
