Reviews strengthen and build trust within the Airtasker community. These provide an easy, honest, and reliable way for members to understand what they can expect from each other. Whether you're a Tasker or a Customer, sharing your honest and fair feedback about your experience not only helps the community but also serves as a valuable guide for all users.
To help you navigate our review system, here are the key indicators of a member's performance history on Airtasker:
Overall star rating: This rating is displayed as a single number out of five on all profiles. Both Taskers and Posters can rate each other for completed or cancelled tasks. To maintain a positive star rating, we recommend avoiding task cancellations unless absolutely necessary. If you do need to cancel, providing as much notice as possible is greatly appreciated.
Tasker quality rating: After posting a task, you have the opportunity to rate a Tasker on four specific qualities: Communication, Punctuality, Eye for detail, and Efficiency. Although this rating doesn't contribute to the Tasker's overall star rating, it gives other Customers insight into a Tasker's performance in these specific areas, which can be valuable when choosing the right Tasker for your needs.
Written reviews: You can leave a written review about the Tasker you worked with. These reviews are publicly recorded, with your name associated with the account of the person you reviewed. If you prefer to remain anonymous, you have the option to skip the written review, and the other person won't see your rating out of 5.
Completion rate: This indicator reflects a Tasker's reliability and shows the percentage of tasks they have completed against all the tasks they were assigned. Only cancellations caused by the Tasker will affect their completion rate. This rate is visible to others once the Tasker has been assigned five or more tasks.
Now, let's address some common questions:
Who can leave a written review on Airtasker?
Both Customers and Taskers can leave a review as long as the task has been assigned and completed, or assigned and cancelled.
When can reviews be submitted and published?
Transparency is highly valued in the Airtasker community. Reviews become public only when both a Customer and Tasker have left a review.
Once the payment is released and the task is closed, you have 14 days to leave a review.
If both reviews are submitted within this period, these will be published right away.
After 14 days, any submitted reviews will be made public, regardless of whether one member has left a review or not. After this time, members won't be able to leave reviews on past tasks.
Can I edit a review?
Unfortunately, reviews and star ratings cannot be edited after they have been published. However, if you need to make changes or remove a review, please reach out to our support team, and they will be happy to assist you.
What guidelines should I follow when writing a review?
Your reviews must adhere to Airtasker's Review Guidelines. If a review is found to breach these guidelines, it will be removed. We can only remove reviews that violate our guidelines or if the author requests it themselves without any coercion. Once a review has been removed for either reason, you won't be able to leave a new one.
